My thematic interests include geopolitics, violent conflicts, NSAGs, OCGs, post-conflict governance, protests, displacement, climate change, and environmental degradation.
My analysis is driven by methodological rigour, supported by cultural sensitivity and decade-long experiences in publishing analyses about the region.
I have considerable field experiences travelling throughout Northern, Central, and Southern Iraq conducting qualitative interviews and setting up trainings for district-level officials and tribal chieftains.
My network of contacts in Iraq includes senior civil servants, security sector officials, civil activists, local-level officials, and community leaders.
I am actively engaged in the academic and policy-making communities, regularly participating in discussions on Iraq, violent conflicts, and regional security.
